Summer Theatre Laboratory
July – September 2008

AWAKENING THE BODY
with Gappad Theatre

Directed by: Agnieszka Bresler, Magdalena Mróz, Robert Przekwas and Gappad Theatre

Programme of theatre workshops exploring the potential of physicality in theatre; open to international theatre practitioners, actors and students.

Gappad is delighted to invite actors, students and theatre practitioners with an interest in physical theatre to participate in their Summer Theatre Laboratory Awakening The Body.

The Laboratory is a programme of free physical theatre workshops open for actors of different origins, led by artists from Gappad and invited guests. The sessions will be taking place on Saturdays or Sundays over the summer months in Glasgow - from early July until mid September. At the end of the sessions there will be a short presentation of participants' etudes built throughout the period of the Laboratory.

We welcome applications from actors interested in participating both in the whole programme or just one / some sessions.

We hope to create for Scottish and international practitioners an opportunity to take risks and explore a different theatre approach and take part in an organic physical theatre encounter.
