GAPPAD IN POLAND AS YOU ALWAYS DO at the Edinburgh MELA
Festival! SUMMER THEATRE LABORATORY LEITH FESTIVAL
Gappad has begun a collaboration with a Polish actress Magdalena Kaleta. Magadalena is now working on her solo performance Jordan based on Jordan by Moira Buffini and Anna Reynolds, which will be staged in Glasgow at the Tron Theatre 11th - 15th May 2010, produced by Gappad and directed by Robert Przekwas.
In August 2009 Robert has also participated in Edinburgh International Festival Directors' School.
Agnieszka Bresler has started her residency with Teatro La Madrugada in Milan, Italy in October 2009. She is now working with this highly acclaimed Italian company on a performance that will premiere in Milan in April 2010. To read more about La Madrugada go to www.teatrolamadrugada.com
Robert and Piotr were selected to work with Derevo and Akhe theatre companies on Nature Morte, a collaborative project of the Arches Theatre, Conflux, Akhe and Derevo. Nature Morte was performed at the Arches 10th - 14th November.

In 2008/2009 all members of Gappad Theatre studied on the Diploma in Physical Theatre Practice (Adam Smith College in collaboration with the Arches Theatre) and presented their solo and group performances as part of Splinters, the diploma's graduation show.

In May 2009 Gappad was a part of Glasgow Subway Festival, presenting a performance action The Kennel, an interactive piece set inside the Glasgow subway carriages, performed by Piotr Kurjata and Robert Przekwas.

Gappad was awarded a week long Creative Lab at Glasgow's Dance House, 9th - 13th March developing our new production, Hear Me. On Friday the 13th we had a sharing for invited guests, presenting a work-in-progress showing.
We are delighted to take As You Always Do to Poland. It will be performed
at 6pm on 18th October 2008 at Ośrodek Teatralny Maski
in Poznan, as part of Festiwal Teatrów Zależnych.
