ARTISTIC MANIFESTO

GAPPAD is Scotland's first Polish/Scottish theatre company.

Our artistic and educational activities are based on the integration of cultures and languages of social and cultural expression.

By our work we want to create a platform between Poland and Scotland (Britain) - therefore we address equally Polish and British audiences and allow different audience members to share the same experience.

Gappad uses universal forms of expression - physicality, movement, music and multi-lingual text.

In our work we want to cultivate Polish roots of physical theatre and ensemble work, taking inspiration from Eastern European physical ensemble theatre companies but we are also inspired by western theatre traditions.
